An Ideal Husband

Today, we had a day of  chilling and then tonight, we went to see An Ideal Husband.

It was so good! And a guy in the play was also a fellow in one of my favorite movies, Stardust! It was a delight to see him! And yes, so fabulous to see a play in the West End of London!

ALEXANDER HAMILTON!!

GUYS IT HAS HAPPENED!!! I don't actually know if I have talked of my love of Hamilton on here, but oh my dude I am obsessed. I tried to get tickets when they came here to Utah, but despite being online for like 9 hours, we didn't get tickets. Then when I came to London, Meg said that she thought we could get tickets, so we tried, AND WE DID! But let's get to the day.
I don't think I even explained why I'm in London. My friend is a professor at BYU, and she's over here for a study abroad thing. So because it's BYU, the classes are at the local church, which I got to see today.
After the classes were over, we had a delightful English breakfast, and holy cow it was so good!
THEN! Onto Hamilton! We had to wait in lines for a couple of hours, but honestly, worth it worth it worth it. I was so excited to get in there, and we had such amazing seats!

Naturally we had to get a selfie before the play, and our excitement is obvious!
This was one of the greatest plays I have ever seen and it was such an amazing night!

First London Play

Today was my first play in London, and it was lovely! After a lovely run in Hyde Park (in which I got lost and ended up running 6 miles instead of 4...) and a chill day, we went out on the town. First we ate at a place called...Nando's? I think? But they had this super cool wall that was made out of soda cans, of course I had to snap a pic.
Then we went to my first play in London, Witness for the Prosecution. It was so amazing!
I took my picture with every single program here - that'll be a theme to look forward to haha!

England!

Last night, Sunday night, I left to London on an overnight flight. I left there at about 9:00/10:00, and I will land in London at like, 10:00 in the morning. An 8 hour flight...an 8 hour time change...it will be rough! But I made it just fine. When I landed, I took the tube to the stop I was told to get off on, and my good friend Meg met me with her kids, Lady Margo and Horace, and we got started on the day. We went to the Tate Museum, and rode their 3-people swings,
Then walked across a bridge to St Paul's Cathedral, where we took in Evensong (and since I had been awake for almost 24 hours, minus a couple of hours for sleep) I definitely fell asleep during those lovely hymns.
After the Evensong, we went back to our flat, because whilst we were all pretty tired, I was downright exhausted! My first day in London was a success, hopefully the upcoming weeks will be as well!

Last Hang Out

In a couple of days, I'll be leaving to England for two weeks, followed by Ireland for two weeks as well. I spent today with the boys, having a nice time and making sure they remember me for the whole time! I will definitely not forget these dang cuties.

A Day at the Park

Today I was watching the fellas, and we decided to hit up the park. We had a great time.

This video of Gecko in the swing is legitimately the funniest thing I've seen in such a long time - enjoy!

A Jaunt to Florida

Literally one day after getting my Laser Eyes, I flew down to Florida. I took a red eye flight, leaving here at 10:00 and landing there at around 6:00 AM. My doctor said that there would be no problems with the eyes, so that was nice. I of course only got a few hours of sleep, but that's okay. We were unfortunately down here for a sad reason, Husband's uncle passed about a week ago, so that's our reason for coming down. We came for Mother's Day, so that our grandmother would have a nice day. We spent the few days doing a couple of things - we visited a museum, went to the beach, and just spent a nice quiet few days together. Luckily the eyes were no problem, but I just couldn't go into the water (you can't get your eyes wet for 2 weeks after Lasik!) and that was fine with me, I just enjoyed the sun.

It was such a lovely few days, can't wait to spend some time with her again!

Laser Eyes!

You guys, today was an unprecedented event. I got LASIK! It was an exciting time and I am just so happy to finally have amazing vision without the help of contacts or glasses! I got there nice and early and they got me all set up:

Of course I was super terrified, but it was not bad at all! It took only a few minutes. Of course my vision was super blurry when it was done, but they said that would take a couple of hours. They recommend you just go home and sleep for a while afterwards, which I did and it was nice to wake up with great vision! I recommend everyone get this one, I now have 20/15 vision and it is fantastic! Now I just need to heal up and then they'll be amazing! I will leave you with a video of one of my eyes getting the laser done. I have a few videos, but this was the best one because you can actually see my eye getting cut and then getting pulled back... enjoy!

Stamping and Chatting

Tonight was another fabulous Stamp & Chat, and we had a great time. I wish I could remember the delicious treats we had, but of course the treats take a backseat to the wonderful cards we made.
I'm always so happy to make birthday cards, those are definitely the ones I use the most!

Summer Begins!

Guys, my summer has started. Naturally, I am celebrating. Unfortunately for myself, the summer semester starts back up again in 2 days. So really, my two days of school-free summer starts today, and I will take advantage!

But, this will be a busy summer. I have 2 classes over the summer, and in 3 weeks time, I will be off to London. I am going with a friend of mine, to watch her kids as she has work stuff over there for a bit. I can't believe my good luck in getting this, and I think it'll be so great!

Directly after my London adventure, I figured that since I was in the area, I would make a jaunt to Ireland, so I'll be heading there for about a week. Excitement!

Directly after these trips, I have 3 days to rest, and then on to trek! I am a Ma again this year, and I am just praying it goes better than last time!

And then, a few weeks home to recover, and off to girls camp! We're trying a new location this year, I hope it makes camp different and fun.

After girls camp, a small family trip, just a small one for the summer, before my SIL goes on her mission to Germany. This should be fun, and I'm looking forward to our last memory-making trip before she leaves for 18 months.

So! A busy summer starts this week. I look forward to all the fun, and hopefully I'll keep this updated with the good times!

Provo City 5K

Today was the Provo City 5K, and it was some good times! The race was the same as it has been in years past, a straight shot of 3 miles from one spot to another. I really like that, no doubling in circles, and there's only a small hill in this one, so it's not a big deal at all. I finished the race and learned... I got first place in my age group! Holy cow! I was honestly so surprised, I have never done that well in this race, how exciting! I got a sweet medal for my prize, and a sweet medal just for finishing.
Of course I got a pic of myself with my medals. I love this race, what a fabulous time we had. I can't wait to do it again next year!
