My First Breathing Nebulizer

Our good friend Husband has been out of town this past week. He left last Saturday to go on a rafting trip for the week, and unfortunately I can't join him this year because of my internship. So I've just been kicking it alone. Starting on Monday, I started to feel a little sick. Just a sore throat, runny nose, that sort of thing. Then during the week, it got progressively worse until today, when I had a massive earache and the throat was killing me. Because of the earache, I finally went to the doctor. Luckily, I didn't have an infection in my ear, they're just filled to the brim with fluid, which is causing all the pain.
cool cool cool
So I learned that I have bronchitis, in this warm and sunny summer we're having. Gosh dang it, the worst timing! So in an attempt to help me breathe a little better, they had me do a breathing treatment.
What a weird experience - you just breathe in and out through this tube, which has some sort of nebulizer thing in it and is supposed to help you breathe. It did! What a help it was. Although I don't recommend bronchitis, I can recommend doing this.

Just Bros being Bros

As I've said before over and over, Darth is obsessed with Epifanio. He just loves to snuggle him. Every time I'm handed the small baby, Darth is right there, asking if he can hold him. Of course I say no, because I don't live with the baby and I'm snuggling every time I get a chance! But they are too cute.

Foam Run!

Y'all, last night I did a foam run. I had never heard of this, but my cousin heard of it, so of course we had to do it. Firstly, because I would be spending the night up at her house (because the race starts at 9:15 AT NIGHT!), I had to drop Cookie off at my sister's to spend the night there. She enjoyed the ride.

Then time for the race! We lined up in the dusk of the day, and then it slowly turned to night as we glowed with the foam showered on us for the race.

It was a blast! It was only just a little bit chilly (this weird summer weather this year is so odd! It was 49 degrees this morning. In the end of June! It's nuts.) and so much fun. I'm looking forward to next year!

Cutie nerd

Today, the fellas came to visit me while I was working. Darth put on his mom's glasses and y'all, what a dang cute kiddo he makes in these oversize frames!
Could you just die? A part of me hopes he'll need glasses in the future! (And with a glasses-wearing mom and dad, it seems likely...)

Fathers Day!

Happy Father's Day, everyone! We spent the day babysitting small babies and making desserts. I made a cookie dough trifle and it was sooooo good!

This baby didn't mind being put in positions for pictures.

Then we finished the day with more tic tac toe, and Gecko had the most fun of all.

Summerfest 2019

Y'all it's time for Summerfest! Today we hit up the festival and it was a blast. We did some rides, ate some delicious junk food, and sunburned our bodies.

We took the small ones on a "big kid" ride and I was so worried they would fly right out of it with how small they were! But they were in high spirits and ended up loving it. We had so much fun! Can't wait to do it again.

Foiled by Taquitos

Tonight, we left our house for a while, just an hour or so, chatting with the neighbors. When we returned, we saw that the garbage can was knocked over. This happens literally all the time (Cookie is such a scavenger) so I didn't pay much attention. Then I turned to take a look at the dog, to reprimand her, and this is what I found:
Yep, this dingleberry got into the trash, got into a bag of frozen taquitos, and then got that stuck on her head. Luckily my phone was already out, so I quick snapped a pic from freeing her from her prison.
She then ran to her cage and wouldn't leave it. I don't know if she was mad or embarrassed, but I couldn't stop laughing. She was all fine, nothing wrong, I legit think that Cookie just experiences embarrassment. I especially think this because if she farts, she will sprint out of the room so fast hahaha what a great dog I have.

More Epifanio

Just this baby is so cute is all. I heart his tiny self.

Frisbee Tic Tac Doe

For YW tonight, we were having a BBQ and playing outside games. I told them I'd bring this game, Frisbee Tic Tac Toe. Of course, Husband and I had to figure out if it would even work with what we were thinking and good news, it did! We just took a rope and made 9 squares:
Its hard to see in that pic, but you can see how it works. It was actually super fun! We just bought 6 frisbees of two different colors (blue and green) and then you just play as a regular tic tac toe game. After we played a few rounds this morning (to test it out!) we kept returning to the grid all day and picking up a few games haha it was great fun.
As we were at the activity, I got the following picture from my sister:
Turns out small Darth had fallen while on his bike, and when the bike tipped over, he then fell ... on the handlebars! Ah poor tyke, he's working his way through some hurt mouth stuff right now. But he's soldiering on through it, good for him.

Cousins!

For our Relief Society activity a few weeks ago, we did a thing in the Family History App where we found out who we were related to (of people near us). When we figured out who was who, we took some pictures with signs explaining the relationships! It was pretty fun, I was surprised at how many relations I had in my own ward.

What a fun time, to learn of these connections!

A Smart(ie) Decision

Today I had to teach the Young Women in my church, and I had to teach on dating. It wasn't so bad, but I really liked my handout, so here it is:

I love it!

A Scientific Experiment

Last night, we did a science experiment. We wanted to see once and for all which was better - the Chip chocolate chip cookie or the Crumbl chocolate chip cookie. We ordered the cookies, and we were ready.

After trying them both we decided....
Both have flaws, both have bonuses, they each a bit different so I preferred both of them for different reasons.
Conclusion?
Both delicious.

Color Run 2019

Y'all, the Color Run has finally returned, and in Provo! Closer to home! Of course we had to take part this year, it's such a fun run usually. Unfortunately for us, they started about 30 minutes late, and in the cold weather that this June has been, it was just the worst! Finally we got going and then had a mediocre walk with occasional color. It wasn't great, but hey, we made it.

Plus we got some cool cool medals after the race, and that makes us champions.

A Twin?

Tonight, I went up and visited my ward up at girls camp. I couldn't go this year because of both internship and classes, so I at least got to go up tonight for testimony meeting. We were originally supposed to go to Mia Shalom, but because it's snowed in from all the snow we had this year, we had to find another arrangement. Luckily, someone in our ward has a cabin in Springville with enough property to have our stake stay there. How fun!
Shortly after I got there, I kept getting confused for the owner of the property. I finally figured out who she was, told her about our mix-ups, and then we snapped a pic together to see if it was true.
You be the judge!

Babysitting Shenanigans

I babysat all 3 fellas tonight and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be! Luckily new baby just slept a lot. But when they got there, I thought Darth could fit into a suitcase, and I was right!

He did both thumbs up and some finger guns, because he loves them both. What a weirdo.

Just Baby Stuff

Guys, I just love this new small fry. He's such a ding and still so tiny and I just want all the snuggles.

 A dinosaur!
He's trying to eat these sunglasses, of course.
I can't get enough of this Dino outfit.

Art City Days 2019

It's that time again, time for the Art City Days 5K! I set out this morning feeling good, I love this race. My family would be doing it also - but all walking. So I made a goal to run it twice, to see if I can run it twice while they run it once. Is that rude? I'm not sure but I liked my goal.
It was a grand time! I did finish it in my time frame, and that was awesome. And then, we actually won something in the raffle! A $25 gift card to Walmart, but it's something! I got 5th in my age group, which is not bad at all, considering I'm so old. ;) Can't wait for next year!
