Color Run 2016

This year, the Color Run really snuck up on me. I swear I always have an eye on when it is, but this year, a few days ago, I was sitting there just chilling, and then I thought to myself, wait. This weekend is almost my birthday weekend, which means the Color Run is probably happening. I checked on the internet, and boom! Yes, its this weekend! So I quickly registered, and then the morning of, I was jazzed. And because I'm always looking for ways to get more steps in, I wrapped my Fitbit in like, 3 layers of cling wrap, and got going. I wish I had grabbed a pic of it, but honestly, I just forgot, I was more in a hurry to get out the door. We walked the race, as per usual, and afterwards, took many pictures to celebrate all the fun.

It was a fun morning, and don't worry, after several washing and scrubbings, I got all of the color off!

Weekly Gecko

Guys, Gecko is literally turning into the cutest little person. Let's dive in.
He's so happy all the time! (Ok not all the time, but most of it!)
He's turning into a little fuzzy headed ginger.
I don't know why, his face here is really killing me. He's so dang serious and focused.

Foto Friday

I like to take pictures of Cookie. It just makes me laugh. Today, I was snapchatting some people, and kept taking pictures of her for it. After a while, she gave me this look.
I added the caption because I thought it was so awesome.

Darth and Gecko

I don't think he means to, but Darth is looking more and more like a serial killer with each picture. The two here are amazing, I can't tell which is creepier, the one with the smile or the one without. You be the judge.

 Both creepers!
Also, this little guy just is so cute, his tiny eyes are amazing, and his small hand on his chest just melts my heart. Awww.

Miscellaneous Monday

We had our ward party over the weekend, and boy what a party. The YW were in charge of it, so I was a little as well, even though I didn't really do much work on that front, I just helped to set up, basically. We had a BBQ (of course I made my small brownie rolo bites, love them) and it was fun. They had a bounce house slide thing, I don't know why these are so popular right now, but ok. The problem with these are, and I'm not the only one who thinks so, but if your bare skin happens to touch the plastic on the way down the slide, you're a goner. The skin gets peeled away and you're left with a sore and a scab. I don't know why this is a thing, why would somebody invent a play thing that actually really hurts when you use it? Why don't they fix this obvious problem?

This week, as I am finishing up my school, Husband is starting his. He was accepted into the University of Utah's PhD program, yay! So now, we, as 30-something year olds, are like kids again, and going to school while married. I'm not sure how it'll go, having us both in school, especially him with such a vigorous academic schedule, but we'll see. Maybe we just won't see each other for a few years, and then we'll get reacquainted after we both graduate. Ha ha!
I can't tell you how excited I am to have finals this week. This summer semester has been the literal worst, it was so fast moving and so much was shoved into it that I really couldn't do anything else, this really sucked up all of my time with all the homework, the tests, etc. I had my last health test today, which went well, and then Wednesday is my last accounting test and health final. Then, Thursday is my accounting final. I can do this, I bet, I just have to spend every spare waking moment studying for all these. Actually, I'm not very worried about the health final, I'm just worried about the accounting tests. Hopefully this week will go by swimmingly, and I can just be done with this semester!

Lindon Days

You guys! Today was Lindon Days, which I sadly had to miss last year, but this year, got to run. There was a whopping 50 people in the race this year, it was just so tiny! I wondered why so few, but I have no idea. Anyway. I was on the way to the race, about halfway there, when I realized that I had left my bib at home. Doh! I quickly hurried back and got it, and made it on time. I took off when the race started, trying my hardest. And then, as we approached this street we were supposed to go straight on, the people in the beginning turned. I didn't know what else to do, so I just followed the crowd. Turns out, they had accidentally cut out a half mile of the race, turning too early like that. I feel like a little of the fault could be put on the shoulders of the race people, they really should have marked the race better, and I also place blame on the people who were in front, they had told us not to turn there, and then they did. Oh well.

Anyway! So I did the race and ran my hardest and finished my 2.68 mile run in 21:45, nice. And then to make it better, I got first in my age group! I was also #15 overall, with the first 8 or so being high school kids on their school teams, so I feel good about myself. Of course I got a sweet medal.

Aw yiss, a gold medal for myself. And PJ was running the race, and she got second place!

We are both hecka champions, good for us!

Weekly Gecko

I do try to get both baby pictures equally, but I'm not in charge of the pictures, nor do I even get to see these jokers in real life! So we'll all have to make do.
I just love his smiley face here, I want to snuggle him so much!
I had told my sister when I first started my accounting class, that some people came dressed up in fance clothes like suits, and then when she sent me this this week, I was dying.
I just want to hug this baby so hard!

Stamping and Chatting

Tonight we had Stamp and Chat again, and of course, it was fun of great times and cute cards. Let's get to them!

Here they are, all standing up and chilling.
Then we made matching envelopes to go with the cards, that was so much fun too! I can't wait to see the great cards we do next month!

My Version of Drunk Texts

I had to have some light surgery today. That sounds weird, but really, just more mouth work to be done, so it's not super serious, but I was doing oral sedation for it, so that was interesting. I took some pills about an hour before my appointment (after having fasted all morning, I was so thirsty!) and they kicked in FAST. When my SIL came to pick me up, she found me on the stairs, laying there, holding my iPad that was playing the Gilmore Girls. Then when I saw my SIL later, after I was 'sober' she told me about what I had said and how funny it was, and I remembered nothing. So I decided, hey I should go back and look at the text messages I sent my sister, because we were texting at the time.
I wasn't disappointed, I was crying when I was reading them. I'm going to put them all here so you can see, in entirety, our conversation.

So, there it is. I can't stop laughing at these, and I just can't believe that I can't remember any of this, and yet, I had a full on conversation with her. Ok, I know I'm using the word "conversation" loosely, but still. I have the second part of this to do in 2 weeks, so I'll have to see what happens that day that I won't remember.
