We're all doing equal work

Today, the final day before the pictures will be taken, so the final push towards being ready. We had planned a full day of things. Husband and my BIL would be painting the basement, and my sister would be cleaning everything (she has recently started a cleaning company! How exciting!) So since we still had the fellas to worry about, I was on kid duty. I occupied them at first by watching a movie, they chose Sonic 2, of course. Then we needed ore painting supplies, so we all trekked on over to the store. Epifanio carried the tape, as he is a giant man who can do anything.

After a full day of ... everything, we then went to have dinner and I learned that Epifanio eats his ramen noodles in the weirdest way possible.

What an absolutely insane weirdo.

Cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning

I don't know if I've mentioned on here yet, but we are moving! Husband got a job at a university in California, so we are moving our wagon out to Cali after the summer. It's been a whirlwind since we've learned this, and we are listing our house for sale this week. To anticipate listing it, and for the pictures, we have been working non-stop for the last couple of weeks on fixing it up. There hasn't been anything major that we've been working on, just a bunch of cosmetic work. Today, I worked on getting some old glue off of a bathtub. For reasons unknown, the previous owners put some trim on the actual bathtub. So when we redid the floors down there a couple of years ago, we had to take this trim off, and it left the glue. Blergh. So today I decided to tackle that job. It was slow going. I would spray it with a cleaning solution, let it sit for a minute, then I used a scraper to scrape at it and just kept doing that ...over and over and over. Here's what it looked like before I started:

Then, after several hours of repeating the cycle:

It worked! It looks great! I am so hype!

Baby Shower Time!

Today I threw my cousin a baby shower, its her first and we are too too hype! So today, we celebrated her and her tiny baby. I do NOT like baby shower games, so I was keeping it super low key with guessing games, basically. I decided to organize some M&M's by color, I was proud.

Then the other game I had chosen was to find these creepy plastic babies. I found them online and decided that it would be a funny game. So I hid them all over the house, and told people to find them. I didn't think that anybody would really go for it, but they went for it like gangbusters and it ended up being the best part of the day haha. I just put them everywhere :

The spread of food was delicious.

We had such a fun time, so glad we did this!

Gecko's Graduation

Tiny Gecko is graduating from kindergarten today! It seems an absolute waste for them to have a ceremony for such an easy grade, but sure, let's roll with it. Of course I was there to cheer on my favorite guy.

He had such a great time and was absolutely singing his heart out on the songs they did.

Congrats to this little man!

Bravery on a Roof

Today, we needed to put a cover on our swamp cooler. (It's not workable anymore, but since we are soon going to list our house, we are trying to just make it look nice, seeing as how its just stuck up there on the roof) We got the cover for it today, and then as expected, Husband is just a little too scared of heights to get it up on there. Since I have no issues with heights, I hopped up there, and told him to get some good action shots of me working.

It got on there with ease, and looked pretty great!

The Plant Who Lived

Y'all, I try. With plants. I try over and over to keep a plant and I kill so many of them. I even was gifted one that is supposed to be unkillable and yet ... he has died. Rest In Peace. But I did get this succulent a good long while ago and it is thriving! Look at it!

And I found a picture I took when I first got the succulent, and compared them side by side to see if it has changed:

I'm so proud, look at that little thriving guy!

Epifanio is a dang weirdo

I watched Epifanio for some time this morning and he helped me with laundry. He absolutely loves a washing machine. He likes to watch the clothing agitate and likes to manually spin the center part of the machine, he's too cute. Today, we were bringing the clothing into the laundry room and he decided instead to just play with the basket.

Oatmeal Cookie Cheesecake

Y'all I have found the most delicious cheesecake. And it was absolutely so incredibly easy. I found it at this website:

https://kitchenfunwithmy3sons.com/oatmeal-cream-pie-cheesecake/

Here's what mine looked like:

Mine is a little different than the recipe online - she used frosting to put on top of the cheesecake, and I used the far superior whipped cream mmmm, It was so so good, I can't stress enough how delicious this was!

Now that's Dr. Husband

Here he is, getting hooded.

And then of course we had to take some pics after.

Excitement!

It's a ... Dinosaur?

The caption on this says everything that it needs to, and it makes me laugh so much.

Now, I know what you're thinking. Did I go back and buy every single one of these and give them away to a bunch of my friends (while keeping one for myself) so that we could all have the same friend?

You betcha.

Welcome ... to Jurassic Park

Okay, I will concede that lately it seems like I have done a lot of Legos, and you know what, that's true. But in my defense, I do like them.

Anyway.

Today, we finished the Jurassic Park T-Rex Breakout, and it's a real lot of fun.
