Race Day and babies

Today, my sister in law and I signed up for a race. We planned to do the Timp 10K, as my sis in law is training for a half marathon. We knew where we were going, planned it all, blah blah blah. And then this morning came, and due to some awful misunderstandings (mostly on my part, I'll own up to my mistakes) we ended up going to the start of the 5K instead of the 10K. Dammit. So we quickly went and found the people in charge, and asked if we could just do the 5K instead. They said yes and transferred our info over.

We did the race, and even though I wasn't ready for a 5K, I actually did pretty good! I get to the end and...

I got second place! In my age group, of course, but how wild!

And then we got a medal just got finishing, what a great day.

Then, that evening, we had a family dinner to say goodbye to Grandma, she was flying back to Florida. We had a music portion of the evening, and we listened to everyone play the piano for a bit. I mostly played with the babies here haha.

Dang cuties, look at them go!

Heber Creeper

With the family all being in town for the wedding, we are trying to find things to do around the area to keep people entertained. Today, we chose the Heber Creeper, which I had never been on, but was actually pretty fun!

We got there and got right onto the train. We spent a bit more for tickets in the open-air train car, and it was worth every penny.

I had to get my pic taken with our small conductor guy
Halfway through the trip, they switch the engine to the other side, to turn around and go home.

The benefit of the open air car is obviously that there are no windows, so you can lean out the windows and see so much.

I totally recommend the train! It was so much fun, so chill, and a great time.

Wedding Day!

Well, today is the day, let the festivities really kick off. I'll just keep it brief, and to photo descriptions, basically.

We had a long long day, it kicked off with a civil ceremony...followed by a family luncheon....then it was the temple sealing...then photos...then the reception. I was WIPED by the end of the day. But it was still a good time.

Here am I, after getting my hair did, and my makeup done (by my sister, of course) and in the dress.
Look at this hecking hairstyle, I loved it so much.

Husband walked her down the aisle, and it was just so lovely.

Then we had the luncheon, it was just us eating, chatting, and taking pics.

(there were 8 women in the bridal party, and 4 dresses, so we each had a counterpart, here is mine)

Look at us looking all fancy. Then, onto the temple!

When I first showed up to the wedding, my new brother in law asked if I was hungover and when I saw pics of me, I went, oh, now it makes sense, these glasses make me seem like a drunk woman from the 60's.
Look at these dang cuties.

The nieces and nephews - so cute.
Then onto the reception!
The fellas joined - and they dressed themselves up for the occasion, which was the cutest dang thing I have ever seen.

Later in the evening, Gecko threw a wooden game piece (they had life size jenga) at Darth's head and cut it open. Classic.

All in all, a fun day! I can't wait to see the pics that the photog took, hopefully we'll see those soon.

Let the Wedding Festivities Begin

My sister in law is getting married tomorrow, and wedding stuff started tonight. We had the rehearsal dinner, followed by the bachelorette party. I was in charge of the bachelorette, and it went swimmingly.

First, at the dinner, my sisters in law and I got these pics, and I love them:

Then, onto the bachelorette. We were under some time restrictions because of the dinner (things didn't go as planned, but we just keep moving forward) so we just had treats, played games, did gifts, kept it low key. I did find the best sign in the world for the party:
(we forgot to do pics until the end, when people had already left, dang it to heck)
And I found the best stuff to put for decorations on the treats:

Tiny strippers hahahah.

It was a super fun night, and now we're all ready for tomorrow!

The Phantom Cupcaker

There is a super long story behind this little guy, but it's uninteresting, so I'm skipping it. To summarize, someone at work won a tiny phantom toy, that was made by someone else at the office. I ended up talking to the person who made it, and asked if she would make me one as well (for money, of course, I'm no animal). She said she would, and I was hype! After she started on it, she asked if I wanted him to be holding anything special. I said a cupcake, because, of course I did. Then, this morning, she delivered, and my tiny Phantom is amazing.

Look at this hecking cutie! I love him so.

Fiesta Days!

Today, for the first time ever, we went to Fiesta Days in SF. I went to go look for a booth that sells minifigures of Legos (they have good rare stuff, yes, I know I'm a nerd) and we ended up just doing so much fun stuff.

We got some lunch - watching him try to eat these potatoes was hysterical.
Gecko got an octopus cotton candy.
Husband got a penguin.
I have an owl!

This is when Epifanio's dad went to go ride a ride...the devastation was real.

Darth with a baby Yoda over here.

It was a super fun day, and I loved it! I even found some great Legos, so it was a success all around.

Re-homing the Homies

I bought new pots for the succulents, and today, I finally got them transferred over! It was my first time ever doing this, but it actually worked out pretty well!

Look at those beauties, and now they'll thrive!

Birthday at the Zoo

Yesterday was Atti's birthday (and that weirdo chose for all of us to eat Big Macs and McNuggets) but I had to work, so today we did some celebrations. He chose the zoo, so this morning, we loaded up and headed out. We had such a fun day! Luckily it wasn't too too hot. Of course, yes, it was, but it wasn't unbearable.

The zoo is very much the same as it always has been, but its improving and also a new fancy place (don't ask me to explain it!) so it was such a fun day, seeing everything and watching Epifanio see these animals for the first time.

Adventures with the Fellas

This is just a photo dump of miscellaneous photos, enjoy.

We headed to IKEA this weekend in search of a bed. Gecko really liked this chair, and asked for a picture in it.

Then they got the bed all set up, and they loved it.

Look at him in this turban towel haha I love it.

The problem with Darth is that he almost has no fear, which translates into him doing absolutely idiotic things (that he always is fine from)
