Bye, Florida

Well, off we go today. When I got up and had gotten ready, I realized that my poor toe has suffered the woes of a half marathon.

It doesn't really hurt, it's just ... ugly haha. We spent the morning wandering around Disney Springs, and then left back for Utah. How cute are these babies carrying their own suitcases?

Epifanio kept calling his suitcase his backpack haha and you know he felt like a little man when he was pushing it around.

And that's a wrap on the trip!

Universal Studios!

Today, we decided to head up to Orlando and have some fun at theme parks. We chose Universal Studios for today, how fun! First we went to Hogsmeade, taking the opportunity to have some butterbeer while we were there.

Always delicious! We spent the day riding rides, eating foods, etc. I tried a cauldron cake from the HP land, although it wasn't a great cake, it was pleasing to look at.
At the end of the night, we finished with another butterbeer, I'm seriously addicted! The place was super busy of course, being the week of vacation between the holidays, but it wasn't too bad. We worked the system as best as we could and only rode rides with the short lines, so we got a lot done, it was a great time.

Shelby Botanical Gardens

Hello from Florida! It's been a few days from Christmas, but things have been quiet. On the day after Christmas, we were knackered from our overnight flight (in which I didn't sleep at all, awesome) so we just had a chill day, it was nice. Then we went to the beach yesterday, but there are no pics to share. It was a pretty cloudy day, but I got a good tan/sunburn, so that's nice, I wanted to come home with some color. Then today, we went to a giant red barn/flea market place, that was a good time. Tonight, we went to the Shelby Botanical Gardens Christmas lights. They were awesome! Here's some highlights:

I will say, it was super weird walking through Christmas lights and seeing all this cheer when it was 80 degrees outside! I'm used to having snow and cold, so that was a trick.

A Jaunt to Florida

Literally one day after getting my Laser Eyes, I flew down to Florida. I took a red eye flight, leaving here at 10:00 and landing there at around 6:00 AM. My doctor said that there would be no problems with the eyes, so that was nice. I of course only got a few hours of sleep, but that's okay. We were unfortunately down here for a sad reason, Husband's uncle passed about a week ago, so that's our reason for coming down. We came for Mother's Day, so that our grandmother would have a nice day. We spent the few days doing a couple of things - we visited a museum, went to the beach, and just spent a nice quiet few days together. Luckily the eyes were no problem, but I just couldn't go into the water (you can't get your eyes wet for 2 weeks after Lasik!) and that was fine with me, I just enjoyed the sun.

It was such a lovely few days, can't wait to spend some time with her again!

Last Day of Orlando

Today, we just had plans to chill. After a morning of packing up all of our suitcases, and playing with cute babies, we got going.

We went to Disney Springs, which is basically Downtown Disney in Florida. It was hot as the sun again, but we ducked in and out of stores. I really enjoyed Cinderella's carriage here, and had to include.
After we exhausted all of the stores we wanted to hit up here, we went to the Orlando Temple, and enjoyed a bit there.
Then it was time to head home. It was a great trip with family, and I enjoyed it so much.

Family Vacay Time

We spent the day in Sarasota, hanging with Husband's grandmother. We went to an Amish restaurant for dinner, which was just about the most delicious place I've ever been to. We took her dog on a walk that evening, and snapped a photo in the blinding and still really hot sun.
Even though we are having a great time, after 2 weeks of being away, I am ready to go home and be back in my own bed. Tomorrow we head home!
