Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! I naturally forgot to get any pics of our egg hunt/hidings/etc, but we still had such a fun time. Husband hid eggs all around our backyard and front yard for the fellas, and they had such a great time finding them all. Then we spent the day chilling, playing in the pool, and taking in our first Angels game! Naturally, I don't have any pics from that game either haha.

I was looking through the pictures I have from this day, and here's what we've got:

And then of course, Lady G had a fabulous first Easter as well!

Happy Easter!

We hung out with the fam today for Easter. Husband set up an elaborate Easter treat for the fellas - starting with a treasure hunt inside for their baskets and then ending in an egg hung outside for the plastic eggs. We had some lunch and tried on our new Easter swag.

Then we went to the park to play with Darth's new rocket launcher, which he loved.

Then we ended the day with a traditional Easter dinner and delicious dessert. Then everyone was wiped. We were all sunburned from being outside all day with no sunblock (whoops) and then just drained from all of the good times. Happy Easter, y'all!

Happy Easter!

It's weird to have holidays while in social distancing. You can't see your family, so dinners are out, no Easter egg hunts for this holiday, everything is just ... blah. So it doesn't even feel like a holiday, which is just sort of the worst. I know we're staying home for the good of the country, but sometimes it just sucks a little. I did get this pic of the fellas today, so at least I get to see their cutie faces.

This was the best pic of the bunch, according to their mom, and I just love it.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter, everyone! I hope that everyone had a great holiday. I made some delicious treats for the occasion. I made Sno-ball cupcakes. I don't know if you're familiar with the Hostess Sno-ball deserts, but I made them into cupcakes. Basically, it's a chocolate cupcake with a marshmallow frosting, dipped in colored coconut.

They were crazy good, if I do say so myself. That morning when the babies woke up, we had a small egg hunt for them, their first one ever in their whole small lives. They were so dang adorable.

We had dinner at my sister-in-law's house, and it was a lovely affair. Gecko actually had fun, for once.

Hope you guys had a great day as well.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter, everyone! I hope everyone had a great holiday. When I was finished running today, I came up from the basement to find a trail of candy leading from the door to...all around! So I followed the trail, and every few feet, the candy led me to a bag of Easter candy, with a few peeps on top, guarding the candy. It was a lot of fun, and I ended up with loads of sugar.
Hope you all had a great one too!

Happy Easter!

We are visiting baby this week! So of course, for the holiday, we had to celebrate with him, and dress him up.

We could not get him to stay for very long, so I got this too, and it was amazing. He’s a cutie.

Miscellaneous Monday

I have been speaking many times of my craftings. When I’m doing them alone (Not in the craft club, is what I’m saying) I do them upstairs, while watching TV. I originally didn’t anticipate doing this many crafty things, so when we moved into the house, I set up my scrapbook stuff downstairs. I figured, I have a card table set up downstairs, I can do my stuff down there away from everything, but if I stayed downstairs when I scrapbooked, I would never be upstairs! So after many months now of scrapping upstairs, and going downstairs when I needed something, I finally moved my scrapbook storage stuff upstairs. Then it looked slightly uneven, because I only had 3 storage cubes, so I bought another one to even things out, and hold everything. Finally yesterday, I put together the final piece of the puzzle, put my Cuttlebug into it, along with some paper, snapped a pic, and was pleased with the results. Here’s what it looks like now, I like it. It was Easter everyone! Yesterday, we again celebrated the lovely holiday of Easter. To celebrate, the Easter Bunny brought Husband a pretty cute basket (with the cutest baby chick ever, I should have taken a picture) filled with all sorts of treats, specifically tailored for Husband, but sadly, I think the Bunny forgot I lived there too! :( At least I got some candy from the Bunny that lives in my mom's neighborhood, thank goodness! We sat with my nephew Zeke again yesterday, and boy was he on fire once again. He was actually pretty quiet…until about halfway through the meeting, when he was playing with my phone, saw a picture of someone, and said (really loudly) “What a hottie!” We all died laughing when he said it, and hurried to shush him. It’s unfortunate; he always makes me laugh during sacrament meeting. I really need to be better at holding it in. With yesterday being Easter, he was dressed so dapper. I included a picture, so that you could see it too. I know everyone here has probably seen this, but I went to McDonalds on Saturday, and since I wasn’t very hungry, I got a kids meal. I so do love the size of the French fries in the kids meal. I’ve seen it before, but every time I see it, it just gives me the giggles. I took a picture of it, in my hand, and hoped that you can realize the smallness of it. I still enjoyed all 8 French fries that came.

Blocks O Easter

I tell you, with the blogging topics I have, it’s either feast or famine. I’ll have nothing to talk about for a while, and then all of a sudden, I have a billion things to talk about. This weekend happened to be the latter – I have a few things to share. I’ve blogged before about my new Craft Club that we created – we being Chelle, Mama Gren, and I. We did the LUCK letters in March, and decided to do Easter blocks this month. We changed up the format a little, and had the blocks be a little different. And instead of having shamrocks, we have eggs, of course. Here are the projects as we’re working on them:

And here they are, set up on my table:

And here they are, set up on my decorating place (landing? Connecting wall? I don’t know what to call this area!):

They weren’t too hard, yay! It took a bit of time, of course, but I really like how they turned out. And I really like that I can decorate even a bit of my house for every holiday. I can’t wait for May!

It’s an egg hunt!

Happy Easter everyone! I try to get on here on the holidays, but since there hasn’t really been any lately, I’ve been off the hook for it, but here I am, trying to make up for it. I just have a small entry today, but fun nonetheless. Let me preface this by saying, I’ve never had an Easter egg hunt. You’d think that since I come from a giant family, we would have been lousy with egg hunts, but we’ve always had dogs, so hiding eggs and plastic eggs filled with candy around the house was never a practical idea.

I woke up Easter morning, and Husband and I woke up to get some breakfast. (Waffles, yum) As we walked out to the kitchen, I caught something colorful out of the corner of my eye. I glanced over, and lo, there was a plastic egg, hiding in plain sight. I laughed, glanced around, and noticed there were more eggs hanging out. As Husband cooked our breakfast, I wandered around the place, finding the eggs. Some were harder for me to find than others, and took me a little while longer, but after a while, I found all 24.

So by the end of the morning, I had loads of eggs filled with Dove chocolates, Hershey’s Kisses, jelly beans, and more. They’re all now being eaten slowly, piece by piece as I pass by the table where they are. For my first Easter egg hunt, it was pretty awesome, I’d like to give a shout out to Husband for putting on a great hunt for me, but mostly, now I want to like, sneak into people’s houses and hide candy/eggs all over the house for them to find. Would that be creepy, or just nice?
