There's not really a name for this, as far as I can see, and it's really such an easy cake, I loved it. And I felt like it was sort of healthy (even though it isn't) and that was a nice thing for my brain. Here it is:
It's so easy to make. Basically, take your favorite chocolate cake recipe, but split it between 3 pans. Since I only have 2 8-inch cake pans, I bought some disposable aluminum pans, and they were square. After baking them, I let them cool. Then I made some typical whipped cream - 2 cups of whipping cream, some vanilla, and powdered sugar. (the recipe is on the carton of cream, if you need it). Put down one of the cakes, spread some whipped cream, another cake, another cream, last cake, last cream and then throw some berries on top (I chose strawberries, blueberries and raspberries). I'm sure I could have made it prettier, but meh, I honestly don't care.
It was so good! We cut the cake into 9 pieces and that was a plenty big enough for anyone. I totally recommend this for anyone, and it was legit the most easy.

Mint Poke Cake
Today I made my very first poke cake, what a day ! I got my recipe from Pinterest, of course, and here it is for your enjoyment:
- 1 box devils food cake, plus ingredients to make cake
- 1 (11.75-oz) jar Smucker's hot fudge sauce
- 1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 tsp mint extract
- 1 (8-oz) container Cool Whip
- 1 (10-oz) bag Andes baking chips
Guys, this is delicious. Of course, I couldn't find Andes mint chips, so I had to chop my own, which was annoying, but not too bad. At least it was good.

Behold...the Piecaken!
The other day, I was watching one of my favorite shows, Ginormous Food. In case you haven't heard about this show (which I'm willing to wager is very likely) its a show about a guy who travels all around the country eating GIANT food. One day there was a strawberry shortcake that was 12 inches high, it was amazing. This week they had a restaurant that serves the Piecaken. Let's break it down.
3 layers
Bottom layer: Pecan Pie
Middle layer: Pumpkin Pie
Top layer: Spice Cake
Topped with: a cream cheese cinnamon frosting AND apple pie filling.
Let's get started.
Basically, I bought store bought pies, because I was not going to homemake them. I got the pecan pie, and placed it on a cake plate. I frosted the top, and then placed the pumpkin pie on top. I trimmed the edges to make everything even.
Then, I frosted the top of the pumpkin pie, for the cake to be placed on there.
After the spice cake was placed there, I frosted the entire thing, and put some apple pie filling on top.

Look at this amazing thing. I can't wait to try it tomorrow!
