Ice Skating!

Tonight, I went ice skating with my YW. We drove up to Midway (despite only having a handful of girls show up, but that's fine) and used their outdoor rink. Of course it was very cold but we had a great time. It was the first time ice skating for one of the girls but by the end of the night, she had moved away from the walls and was attempting to skate with us! It was a great time.

Since its at night you can't really see much, but still, we had a grand time!

Ice Skating

I recently found out that on Thursdays, the Provo Peaks Arena has a kids only skating thing, where the small kids can come and skate, and be left alone by any bigger people that want to skate...better. So we loaded up the smallies, and headed over. We got there and got the skates on them. Darth was jazzed and Gecko really couldn't have cared less.

We got on the ice, and Darth legit had the time of his life. He was digging it so hard.

Gecko didn't really care for it. He just hung on the side whilst his mom just sort of rolled him around. 

It was such a fun morning. The kids had a great time and then we warmed up with hot cocoa after. I think I'd like to take them again, its just so fun.

Ice Skating

Tonight for YW, we went ice skating. I was pretty jazzed, I hadn't been in a while. And...it showed. I definitely struggled! I can't believe how hard it was to skate! One of my YW is an honest-to-goodness competitive skater, and she tried to teach us some tricks, with no luck from me. I could sort of skate backwards, and sort of stop when I tried to, and sort of do a small spin, resulting in a garbage looking spin. One of my other YW tried to do a trick and ended up on her bum. She was game enough to give a good pose:

We ended with some ice cream, and it definitely made me want to go skating sooner than 10 years, which is how long it had been last time!
