Three's Company

Tonight we went to dinner as a family, to celebrate the birthday of my MIL. We went up to Benihana's in SLC - her favorite place, and so dang good. As we walked out afterwards, we took Grandma in our arms to walk, and my SIL snagged a pic, that I just love.

Shave and a Haircut

Our good friend Cookie got a haircut today, and although she hates going in, I do think she enjoys the actual grooming and coming out looking fresh. She got a small bandana this time and she looks great.

A Day of Kiddos

Today was a day of babysitting for me, I babysat the fellas in the AM and then the ladies in the PM. Lots of fun to be had!

Congrats on a Birthday!

A few of my YW recently found out they got into various colleges. So to celebrate, I decided to get some cookie cakes from the store, and have congrats written onto them. So after searching 3 stores, finally I found what I wanted. I asked the gal working the counter to write "Congrats NAME" on them. She said okay and brought them back. Then she brought them back out again, and this is what I see:

Okay, congrats, looking good, looking good ... 

 ... happy... birthday...Feona? Ah, what? When I pointed out that this is not what was wanted the gal was like, "well, there's not much I can do because it's written directly on the cookie". Ah...what? ...okay? So at the fiesta I presented these cakes and we could not stop laughing. At least it was a delicious mistake! 

Bowling with the Team

With today being Presidents Day, all of the kiddos in my life had the day off from school. So naturally, we gotta keep them all busy. I took them bowling, which was so much fun to do with all of these jokers. Snapped some cute pics as we played, and then got a mediocre pic at the end haha. 

These two had the most fun the entire time - it was so cute.

After bowling and a trip to a bakery, we enjoyed the Disney Channel Original movie Zombies 2 - I totally recommend!

School Work

Y'all, sometimes people can surprise you. Today, my sister came over with some of Darth's school work, and told me to read it. Once you get past the serial killer penmanship, it's so cute! (honestly, when do kids start writing normal? Probably junior high haha)

On the line where it says "I love it when my mom" ________, Darth has filled it in with "lets me go to Vieve's house".
Awwww! Guys! So so cute! I just wanted to give him a tiny hug but he wasn't even there haha. But that was such a heart warmer, I hope everyone had a heart warmed this Valentines Day.

Classic Gecko

Today I went shopping with Gecko, and I saw this chair. I asked him if he thought it was comfy and he got in and sat down. Then the weirdo did these weird poses, so of course I had to get a picture of him. He is just such a weirdo sometimes, I love it.

New Floor, New Floor

Y'all! The floor was installed today and it looks so good!

We got it to match in the front entryway also (forgot to get pics of that, oops) and it looks amazing.

And in a day or so when the bathroom is finished, I'll get that posted as well!

Tearing out some floor

The time has come for us to finally do some work on the house. Since the dreaded house flood of Thanksgiving, we've needed to replace the basement floor. We finally got around to it (And by that I mean, the company we've been trying to use FINALLY decided to get back to us on the install) and since we were doing the bathroom we were like, might as well do the kitchen, since the kitchen floor is also horrible. Since it would save us $500 in the install, we tore the floor out ourselves.
Naturally, as is custom with this house, the job turned out much harder than we originally anticipated. When we tore out the floor, we found that instead of them tearing out the floor when they installed the tiles, they just ... placed it on top of the linoleum floor in the kitchen. Just........why?! So that made things so much harder and take so much longer, oy. but! Here's what the floor looked like after the floor was torn up:

Oscar Sunday

Tonight was the Oscars and for my Oscar party, it was just me, Husband, Rory and Epifanio. That dang baby spent so much time trying to tip over my popcorn bowl, but of course you can't stay mad at that baby face.

How can you stay mad?!

The Oscars were just the same as usual ... and boring during many parts ... but hey, I still enjoy watching them and seeing the dresses and hearing the speeches!

Time with the Fellas

Now that I'm back on dry land, I hung out with the fellas today, doing a bit of babysitting. We went to the mall (Darth was promised a trip to the toy store after he behaved during the Super Bowl, which was excellent) and of course took in a meal first. We gave Epifanio his first lemon. As you can see, meh, is his opinion.

Then I took them around the mall and they had a great time.
