Darth and Gecko

Basically, today's could be labeled "Gecko discovers his face and fingers" and would be accurate.

Small, small, small

Tonight for my youth activity for church, we went to (what I thought was) a Firefighter Graduation. We had been assured by the boys that it was going to be amazing - that the firefighters were going to set fires, put them out, all sorts of cool things like that. So when we went, I was surprised to be led to a conference room with rows of chairs lined up. Turns out, what we went to, and I don't know if it was a graduation, was just a sort of speech given. The current men's basketball coach of UVU is a man named Mark Pope. He is a former NBA player, and he gave a talk/speech for the event. It was amazing. He told us some great stories, and though it wasn't remotely LDS-based, it was really awesome. Of course, all I could think the whole time he was talking was, he is really tall! So afterwards, I ran up to him, told him I loved his talk, and asked for a picture.

I felt like a tiny bug next to him! I had a slightly red face here because I was a little embarrassed to ask him, but I did it! I had a YW of mine take the picture, and after it was snapped, I said thanks again, and practically run out of there. And now I can say I've met an NBA player! It was a fun night, even though it was nothing at all like I thought it was going to be.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter, everyone! I hope everyone had a great holiday. When I was finished running today, I came up from the basement to find a trail of candy leading from the door to...all around! So I followed the trail, and every few feet, the candy led me to a bag of Easter candy, with a few peeps on top, guarding the candy. It was a lot of fun, and I ended up with loads of sugar.

 Tiny baby Gecko got a tear duct infection this week, Look at his sad swollen eye.

Him in his diaper here makes me laugh so hard. He also looks like, "did you need something?"

Cards, Cards, Cards

I had to make some cards for card swap, as one does. Our swap in March got postponed to May, so in May I need to have 4 cards ready. Since I had spring break last week, I got most of them finished last week, and I finished one on Monday. Here's what they all look like:

I still can't figure out how to adjust the pictures to shift them, ugh. I'm working on it! Since my LiveWriter stopped working, I have to use other means, and it's not as user friendly, I'm finding. but I think these all turned out pretty cute, and I'm glad to be done with them so early!

Miscellaneous Monday

It's been a while since I've done one of these! Basically, school is sucking up every single bit of time that I have! I don't have time for anything, it seems, just homework and learning. But good news, the end is nigh. There's only 4 and a half week of school left, and then we're done! I'm so jazzed, this semester has been the suckfest, so I am just excited to be done with it. We can do this. Just hold on everyone, and we'll finish.

Recently I was given the soundtrack to Hamilton. Like everyone else that's listened to it, I LOVE IT. I am so dang obsessed, I can't stop listening to it! I want to go see it on Broadway so hard, but it's so expensive! And in a completely different state, so that also diminishes my shot of being able to see it. Right now, my life goal is to see this. If anyone has a few hundred dollars just chilling around, not doing anything, lets buy some tickets and go see Hamilton. I know we'll love it and have a freaking amazing time. There's never been a Broadway show I've wanted to see as much as I want to see this. It's a musical! And history! It's tailor-made for me! Let's make it happen.

I got a Fitbit for Christmas, I don't know if I ever mentioned it. This is simultaneously the best and worst gift I've ever gotten. It's awesome to know the movement I do a day, to see what I'm actually doing. The bad side is, if I'm having a particularly lazy day, it reflects! If I just lay around all day, I feel so lazy when I see how low those numbers are! It's probably good for me to make sure I'm getting some movement for the day, but man, it really puts a crink in those lazy days. My current goal with the Fitbit is to get 30,000 steps a day. I've gotten within several thousand, but that's my next goal. I think it might have to be a Saturday, or a race day, or something. I'll let you know when it happens!

Darth and Gecko

Ok, I think that now that I have two baby joys in my life, I'll just do a weekly view of both of their pics on the same day, instead of having two different days for it. Maybe after a few weeks, I'll change my mind, and have separate days, but for now, here we go.

 Here is baby Gecko, washed and ready to go with his life.

 So, Darth is super nervous here, of course, holding the new baby. And Gecko has decided, the best thing to do right here is try and nurse off of his face. Ha ha I love it.

This little ham is still the best little jokester.

New Baby

Well friends, my sister had another tiny baby last night. We welcome to the world Oliver Gabriel, heretofore known as Baby Gecko. So now I'll keep updating on the adventures of Darth and Gecko, two world-class brothers. Here's what he looks like now, he looks all right so far.

Look how cute and fancy! Hopefully this baby will be just as cute and fun as Darth. So far, he's just a super chill baby with a super chill life.

He's a tiny baby burrito! How fun, I can't wait to visit them and see this baby in real life.

Weekly Darth

Darth is being cute as ever, you guys. He's just casually sitting in his car seat here, as one does. He has the cutest little face. 

 He recently was eating some kind of dessert, and baby got some ice cream on his face. I hear he posed for this picture for a really long time. LOOK AT THOSE EYES THO.

 This is how he casually watches TV. Just super casual. Ha ha I love it.

Our 5th Anniversary!

You guys! It's my 5th wedding anniversary! I can't believe we've made it this long, and good for us! In all seriousness, I'm so glad we're still going strong, and we have such fun together. I have loved the last 5, and I look forward to the next jillion.
