Darth and Gecko

It's been a quiet couple of weeks, with lots of school and the like, so I just have some cute shots of the boys to share.

 I bought Darth these overalls (he LOVED them at the store) and he was just so thrilled to wear them, he wears them as often as people will let him ha ha

 Gecko just really enjoys hopping into pictures with Darth, even though he doesn't care to smile.

Darth got a small cut on his face when Gecko's lightsaber broke at the end, and had a sharp point. I wanted to take a picture of the cut, just to show his parents, and he treated it as a glamour shot haha

Escape Room

For my birthday, we did an escape room and it was so much fun. My SIL's birthday is today, and she chose one as well. We did the zombie room - which I was NOT down for. They have a zombie "chained up" in there and it scares you throughout the hour and I was NOT into that. But I went along inside and just stood against the wall the whole time, not really participating a lot, but it was fun to watch all of them do stuff. We got out with 3 minutes to spare, good for us! We are champs, 2 for 2 with the escape rooms we've done. We snapped a pic at the end, to commemorate the time.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Friends! We had a super romantic night of...going to mutual tonight! We are trek Ma and Pa, and tonight they had an activity where we got to find out who our families are, and then we played some Family Feud in our families. Our family won, of course, we are freaking champions.
I hope you guys had a wonderful day of love, and I leave you with a video of Gecko, eating a chocolate covered strawberry for the first time. I can't stop watching it, I just think it's so cute and funny.

Tonight's batch of cards is as cute as ever !

Red Velvet Popcorn

Stamp & Chat is tomorrow night, so today I made the treat for it. The theme for this month is just a red dessert, so on the Six Sisters' website, I found a recipe for Red Velvet Popcorn, and it looked delicious! Of course, when I made it, it looked nothing like their version. Here's the recipe :

6 cups freshly popped popcorn
1 (12 oz) bag white chocolate chips
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup red velvet cake mix
Pour 6 cups of popped popcorn into a large bowl.
In a small bowl, pour white chocolate chips and microwave in 30 second increments stirring in between until smooth. Pour in vegetable oil and mix until combined to make mixture smoother, and easier to pour. Pour half the melted chocolate in a small bowl, and mix in red velvet cake mix until smooth. Pour over the popcorn and mix so the red velvet mixture evenly covers the popcorn (it may be slightly clumpy, but that is fine). Spread the red velvet covered popcorn out on a piece of parchment paper or aluminum foil. Drizzle the remaining half of the white chocolate over the red velvet popcorn. Wait until hardened, then break into smaller chunks and serve.

It was still delicious, though! 

Vieve, I can't hold it

Darth and Gecko love to help. They like to help cook (not really cook, just stand in the way while you cook) they love to help get the mail, they enjoy doing chores and stuff. So today, I went out to get the garbage cans after pickup, and of course, Darth wanted to get the garbage can. He wouldn't let me help, no matter how much I insisted, so I just started to record. As you can see, he went a couple of feet, and then realized he can't actually do it alone. It's just so sweet, and I love his little face when he realizes he can't do it haha.

HULK GRAB

This morning we went shopping for some breakfast muffins before Gecko had the chance to get dressed. Naturally, when we got to the store I realized how amazing he looked, and had to snap a quick pic.

We also had to get a new dog bed for Cookie, so we were in the pet section. I told Darth that if he could pick up a bag of dog food, I would give hime $50. I don't think he knows exactly how much that is, but danged if he didn't try his hardest. If you listen closely, you can hear him say "hulk grab" while trying to get it. What a great guy, he does his best.
