Vieve's Place...Enjoy Your Visit
My brother and his family have visited us this week, we are keeping it low key but still having fun. Today, after work, we headed to Downtown Disney and just bopped around. We went into shops, had a delicious ice cream and just enjoyed the Christmas ambiance.
I got some pics today from my sister, with her various Christmas gift Lego sets next to people for scale.
Epifanio is always so pleased to be compared to a Lego set for size haha.
It's a weird thing to do, celebrate Christmas being away from the bulk of your family. Pictures and video calls and whatnot is nice, but there's just nothing like being in the same room. But its nice to see everyone and what they're up to today.
Since I had first heard of Medieval times many many years ago, I have wanted to go. It seemed like so much fun! And finally tonight, we got to go! We got there and were placed in the red section. Our Red Knight was a fun time, and we had SO much fun. They give you a prefixed menu of chicken, potatoes, tomato soup, and an eclair. It was so good.
Such a great time!
Today, Husband's sister came into town for a couple of days and like most of the visitors to my house, they wanted to go to Disneyland for the day. Their flight in last night was redirected due to fog, so they didn't even get in until this morning at 11:00, a full 12 hours after they were supposed to land, oof. We picked them up from the airport and went straight to the park. We did as many rides as we could, and ate all the snacks.
I just love a Disney day.
This morning, I was doing my run, and I came across a tiny baby kitten. It was by itself, no owners and it followed me when I passed. I did some searching on the Ring app, to see if people had lost kittens, and I found that someone had, nearish me, and it looked similar. So I picked up the kitten and brought her home. Shortly after bringing her home, we learned that the other owner had actually found theirs. Shoot. We tried to take her to a shelter, but the shelter was full and wouldn't take her. We couldn't just put her back on the street, so we went and bought some food and toys and a litter box, until we can figure out what to do with her.
Betty doesn't like her at all, so the drama of the day has been watching the two of them around each other, Betty tries to attack every time.
I've decided to just do a post for all the Christmas Lego sets I have done this month, please enjoy.
I had recently heard that a train set at Disneyland was on sale, and then I got my pass holder discount on top of that. You know I sprinted on over to pick that up. Then I spent the afternoon putting it together. I put it around the tree and the track was waaaaaay tooooo long.
So I removed some track to make it the perfect size.
It took a bit to figure out, but I did it.
Betty is a thief. We all know this, she's been stealing all of our food the whole time she's been here. Last night, Husband made a pie, an apple pie, we had a surplus of apples and needed to do something with them. Then, today we left for church. Husband left his chair near enough the counter that Betty could make her way up there and ate the pie.
I was getting ready to put out my Christmas decor, and I was getting all of my birds together. I realize I have so so many.

I have many many more, but I love seeing them all.
Today, my sister and dad and I went to get tattoos. We had decided a bit ago to get mom's last EKG on our bodies, leading into a heart. I did mine small and on my wrist, and sister did hers bigger on her forearm. Dad did something else entirely and I lament that I didn't get a pic of it. But here's mine.
I love them. I miss mama.
Guys, Betty is doing poorly over here in Utah. Last time we were here, we were in a house with lots and lots of people and she seemed to do normally. But here, we're in a small townhome, and for some reason, she's struggling. She's scared of the steps and it took her a full day to get the courage to go up and down the stairs. Whenever we sit down, she HAS to sit on us. She's just having a hard time being away from her home, poor gal.
When Husband isn't here, she just sits on the steps and waits for him, regardless of if I'm here or not haha what a tiny loon.
Today we made our trek over to Utah for Thanksgiving. We packed up the car and put Betty in the car and headed off. She hates these long drives, but we gave her a bed and all her treats and toys.
Today we had a free afternoon, so I thought we'd do a quick trip to Disney, have some snacks, ride some rides, just have fun, basically. We met up with Scotty and had a fun time.
Did I buy these Lizzie McGuire crocs and they are the best things I've ever owned?
Yes.
