I finally finished the Lego Atari tonight! I say finally because it felt like it took forever even though I really only worked on it for a week or so haha.
I love it so.

A friend and I have decided to form a baking club, and each month (we're already in a book club, the dates coincide) we will make a new dessert and then try it whilst we have our book club. This month, we chose Victoria sponge cake.
It wasn't too hard at all! I homemade the jam, ordered a fancy English sugar from Amazon, I was ready. I then made the cake, got it all cooled down and ready to frost, and started to finish the last step of putting the buttercream between the layers of the cake. As I was finishing up, my frosting bag blew, the tip flew out, and my hand punched into the cake. It resulted in mayhem.
Its been a minute since I've done photos of Betty, so here we go.
Absolutely obsessed with this weirdo.
The funny thing about Disneyland and living near it is that when people come to town, this is one of the things they want to do the most. So we usually end up taking people there for the day, letting them decide what they want to do, what they want to see, because we can see it all whenever. We went with Husband's friend and had a great day, full of fun.
Turns out, I only had the ride pics on my phone, and the ones of us during the day were on her phone, but that's fine. That evening, I met up with Avenue, we were going to see a movie on the lawn of the Disneyland hotel. We went over there and the vibes were meh, so we hopped back into the park for dinner and a treat. Then, we headed home, it was getting late and we were spent.
I understand that I'm an adult.
However
Tonight, we went to the Descendants/Zombies mashup tour. It was a hoot. I love these sets of movies, they are so fun and the music slaps.
I didn't really get any pics of anything, but I did snag this:
An amazing night!
The fellas decided to all dye their hair, and luckily decided to do the same color, so they could all get it done at once. First, of course, gotta bleach it blonde.
And then, varying colors of purple, depending on what they wanted! They love it, its fun, we all love it.
Today, Husband and I went to a play in a neighboring city. Something that I didn't know, when we got the tickets is how small of a theater this was, and that its basically a community play we saw. No matter that!
It was a fun play, and we had a good time, but my goodness the sound quality in this theater was not good at all, we could barely hear anything! It was still fun and I still love the music, but that was the only downside.
Today, I felt a little better, so we headed over to Disney to hang out for a couple of hours. I did a couple of rides, had some snacks, but took it slow and it was lovely.
Husband got us some fun pics on ride, and the most dangerous part of this was that the kids ride we did made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe and tried to cough up a lung haha.
Guys, I have taken a turn for the worse. I was feeling sick of course, and then yesterday felt a little worst, and then today was even more bad than yesterday. I spent the day mostly sleeping and when I woke up in the evening, my fever had spiked up to 103.5. Yikes. Since there were no urgent care's open (which is insane, how are these places doing a 9-5 when its supposed to be urgent care?!) I did a Telehealth appointment, and the doctor on the phone told me to get to the ER asap, after talking my symptoms. So we quickly loaded up into the car and went right over. When we got there I was so thirsty I was dying, but they told me I couldn't drink until after all of the exams, boooo.
Finally I got some water and it was amazing. We were there for a few hours, and they ran all sorts of test. My temperature made me SO HOT, they gave me ice packs to put around my body.
After a few hours, the diagnosis: pneumonia. Sheesh! So they made me do a walk around the floor, and if I felt all right, then I would be able to get home. I had to pee SO BADLY by the time the liter of IV fluid was in me. I did a trip to the bathroom and felt a little light headed but at this point, it was like, midnight thirty and I hadn't eaten for like, 8 hours. I did tell them I felt okay, though, and they luckily let me go. Home I came, and off to bed for me, since around now it was a little after 1:00. Let's hope I heal quickly!
Happy 4th of July, friends!
I'm reporting to you from the couch, where I have been the last few days. My throat has hurt, my head is dying, I'm coughing, the whole 9 yards of what seems to be a cold.
This is unfortunately how I've spent the last few days haha. But look at this little cuddly girl.
