Happy Retirement, Pops!

 Today was Pop's retirement from a company he's worked at for 1000 years. They had a fiesta to celebrate (there were also a couple of other people retiring) so of course we showed up in full force for him. 

Now, even thought the whole fam was there, I only wanted a pic with Pops and my sister, my only favs of my family. 

We had so much fun hanging out for the afternoon and celebrating all he's done. 

Epifanio's Fav Pastime

 I headed over to Utah today, my dad is having his retirement party this week, so I had to come for the festivities of course! Of course, one of the things Epifanio had to do was to work at my computer. 

Then I had to spend the rest of the night fighting this cat off and out of my room, he would not leave me alone, he knows that I don't like a cat haha.

Like sir, get away from my pillows please. 

Lego Christmas Train

 Finished my latest Lego set today, the Christmas train set. 

The track ended up being so much larger than I thought it was going to be! There was nowhere to put this. 

So I ended up just putting it underneath the lego bookshelf, which worked perfectly! 

Ward Christmas Party

 Tonight is our ward Christmas party, and we're just doing the same ole same ole, dinner, some sort of show, and Santa. I made a peppermint rice Krispy treat, which was bomb. 

Then, onto the party. I was in charge of decorating Santa's room and then got a picture with the big guy himself. 

So good! It was such a fun night and I'm glad we could help out. 

Christmas Decor Up!

 All right, its finally the time of year where Christmas decor gets to be up! 

Titanic Exhibit

 Today, we chose a late flight in the evening so that we could hit up the Titanic exhibit this morning. We got there right as our time slot opened, and unfortunately for all of us, the line was already out the door and it was snowing lol. Luckily the line was moving quickly so we didn't have to be in it for too long. I have been to the exhibit before, in Las Vegas, but it was as great as I remembered. And of course Epifanio loved it so much, its his favorite history bit. 

And then of course we had to get the classic poses. 

Absolutely so much fun.

Thanksgiving Shenangians

 We've been in Utah for a couple of days now, and it's been grand, but every single pic of our trip came from today haha. 

They're all golden. 

He was mad that nobody would walk the longer way home instead of taking the shortcut, we all wanted to go home since it was cold.

New Decor

 Recently, I noticed that the display holding our fancy/expensive Disney items was ... lacking, and we needed a bit more space. So we found this bookshelf-situation at IKEA and I LOVE it. It looks so good. 

(in case you were curious, the top shelf is just popcorn buckets from Disneyland lol) 

Then, because I had the leftover shelf from the original design, I used that to put Lego sets on, of course. 

I moved the Avengers stuff here, to make space for my ships to be near each other.

Baby Roundup

 I got a bunch of random pics from everyone of the babies so I'll just post them here for the fun of it. 

Christmas at Disneyland

 I went to Disneyland today with a friend, and of course, it was beautiful as ever. 

The fake snow falling really can't be beat! 

A Cooking Class

 For Husband's Christmas present from one of his siblings, he was gifted a cooking class at Sur la Table, which meant I also was haha. We went to that tonight, and we made some delicious food. We made a salad, some chicken, and some cream puffs. 

We made the dough, piped them out, baked them, and then dipped them into a chocolate sauce.

No recollection of what this chicken was, but it was fine, and the salad was ... all right. 

Husband did a great job of putting some butter onto the cream puffs.

This was so much fun, I would love to do another class! 

Mini Christmas Tree

 When I went to Disney on Sunday, I went to the Crystal Arts store to get a tiny Christmas tree I had seen on TikTok. You go in, get this tiny glass tree, and then get to pick the ornaments you put on. 

I probably could have picked a better location for the picture, but we're too far gone now. 

I love this. 

Pineapple Upside Down Cake

For my dessert club this month, we did a pineapple upside down cake. It was my first time making this kind of cake and I think it went pretty well. 

It was delicious! And so easy, I made the cake before work and had no issues with it. V tasty. 

Lego Gingerbread House

 Finished this set pretty quickly, and its just so fun! 

Praying Mantis Savior

 We hopped on over to Disney today for our usual afternoon jaunt, and as we were approaching the security area, we saw a lone little praying mantis on the ground, just chilling. I knew that someone would probably run him over, so I asked Husband to move him to the safety of the plants. 

We got him moved on over to the side of the road where nobody could bug him. 

The Black Pearl

 Welp apparently nothing happened in life between the last two weeks except for Lego sets? Sounds right. 

But! I did finish my next big Lego set, the Black Pearl. Complete with all the little movie friends. 

So perfect!

Haunted House Lego

 And just under the wire of Halloween, I finished my haunted house lego set! 

This worked out so well, I was so pleased. And the ghosts glow in the dark!
