Vieve's Place...Enjoy Your Visit
We are heading home today! My sister is coming with us (to experience Disney at Christmastime and help to keep Betty entertained on the drive) and we headed out nice and early.
We had an uneventful drive home, but we sure did hit a lot of traffic and ended up taking a couple of hours longer than originally planned. But we made it! Time to rest!
We leave back for Cali tomorrow, so today was my last day to see my family and hang out, so I got to see my brother (whom I hadn't seen yet because he caught Covid a couple weeks ago). We met up at Sweeto Burrito and had a yummy meal.
My nephew Z was being absolutely hysterical and said he felt like a divorced middle aged woman here.
Then we did a quick trip to Target, and Epifanio kept trying to scare us as we walked down aisles.
We had such a fun trip and I've loved being here! But I am ready to go home haha.
Today we were heading over to my sister's house, to binge the entirety of the last season of Letterkenny. (Canadian show, v funny) We were stopping at Culver's on the way to grab lunch (guys, there are no Culvers' in my new state, how awful). Betty was so excited to be in the car, of course.
(I liked the lighting in the car, what can I say?)
When we got to Culvers, they asked if we wanted a pup cup for Betty. Uhhhh are you kidding? Of course we do!
And then of course, the aftermath of her excitement.
She had never been so happy.
Then we brought everyone back to where we were staying for some dinner, and the fellas loved being in the car with Betty.
We spent today with Adam's side of the fam, which is definitely more chaotic but always a good time.
We did a filter to see how we would look as villains, tell me why it made me the man and Husband the girl? hahaha I died laughing!
Y'all, I just did my first Midnight Mass at a Catholic Church and it was so fun! We got there about an hour or so early and it was a madhouse - there was a concert that took place right before it so there was a lot of confusion on who was staying and who was going haha. The inside of the church was gorgeous.
The service was so lovely and wasn't as long as I feared (being so late in the night and me usually in bed long before this started haha) and it was so great. Of course we took pics afterwards, to commemorate.
All in all, an absolute top night!
Christmas Eve, and I get to be with my side of the fam! We spent the day just hanging out, snacking, playing games, all that jazz. Betty was hype to be around everyone, of course, so she ran around all day with the little kids until she absolutely just passed out on my lap.
It was so fun to see everyone, I hate that we live so far away now.
Y'all, today was Betty's first long road trip! We made the trip from here in CA to Utah for the good ole holidays. We got her a little backseat hammock and lots of treats, and settled in for the drive.
She was WAY too hype for the first bit. We kept trying to get her to sit down and plied her with treats but she immediately got back up. Then, after about 4 or so hours, we gave her a calming CBD chew, so that she would sit down and go to sleep.
We arrived at around 9:00 or so, absolutely spent and ready for bed.
It's been a minute since I've done a Lego post, here we go.
I made a little Lego Christmas town/village type thing.
I love it.

Y'all, I'm obsessed with the Target birds. They're amazing. New ones each season? Heck yes.
Now this presents a problem. Where to put them in the off season? I found a solution that, admittedly, makes me look a little insane.
This here is every tiny bird I own, with the exception of Christmas birds, as those are being used for decor right now. They're just so fun!
Y'all, it's time for Christmas, it's time for holidays, and time for fun.
As we were walking into the parks, Husband wanted to try on my tiny Loungefly backpack.
I can't lie, I cackled.
We then walked around the hotel, on the search for the gingerbread men cookies and saw everything they had in there.
I just love being so close to Disneyland and getting to see each season there.
Might as well post some videos and pics of Betty, it's been a minute.

This weekend, we went to a botanical garden/park just a few cities away, in Laguna Niguel. It was lovely! The temperature was great and we had fun. Here's some of the good stuff from the day.
I naturally don't remember any of the names of these, but everything is just so lovely.
Gecko wrote a book for school this week and I finally got to see it today. I love it.
