And just under the wire of Halloween, I finished my haunted house lego set!
This worked out so well, I was so pleased. And the ghosts glow in the dark!
And just under the wire of Halloween, I finished my haunted house lego set!
Tonight was our ward Halloween party, and being sort of (?) in charge of it, I really helped out. I signed up to bring a cornbread and a dessert, and of course, Adam and I had great costumes. I know what you're thinking, are we going to see the costumes ? And the answer is no, I kept meaning to take a picture, but I sure didn't ever get one lol. We were Galinda and Fiyero from Wicked, but alas, no pics. That's fine, nobody is crying.
But I made my cornbread in the morning and then went to run some errands. I returned to find out
That Betty had sure gotten up onto the table and ate a good chunk of the bread. Gosh dang it this hacking dog. So of course, had to quickly make a new one.
The other thing I signed up for was a dessert, and I had chosen Black Velvet cupcakes. They were beautiful.
Look at these! I bought a special cocoa to make them black and not a dark brown and they were so good! I loved them so much.
The party was fun, Husband and I were in charge of beer pong (but not beer) for kids, and we had a good dinner of the chili cookout and then did a trunk or treat. These parties are always a fun time.
Finally, we got the school pics of the year today and of course they're as amazing as we had hoped.
Tonight I went over to Disney with a friend, and one of our reasons for going was to go to Black Tap and try their Ice Cream Flight. They had a strawberry shake, a vanilla, and a peanut butter.
This was beyond delicious. They were small in size, so I didn't even feel like we had eaten too much either, it was a comfortable thing to share. And so so good.
For no reason today, as I was working out, I wanted a big ole country biscuit. I did some searching, and found a recipe on TikTok that I thought looked good enough. So I enlisted PJ to help (as she's staying at my house this weekend) and we got some into the cast iron pan.
These were insanely delicious. Like, I need to make these all the time delicious. The problem is, I can't list a recipe here because I found it on a video, so I just kept having to pause the video and rewind to get ingredients and instructions haha. Maybe someday I can write down the ingredients so I don't have to go back to the video but until then ... just enjoy this pic.
Now that the fun of yesterday is over, let's recap.
Here's a pic of the candy we got. And by we, I mean me and Husband, Epifanio and my sister got their own in this same amount lol we have so much candy right now. I did the usual counting of everything and:

Finally, the Oogie Boogie Bash has come around again. We had a big ole group costume in mind this year, because Epifanio was going to be joining us. We chose:
Beauty and the Beast! Specifically Epifanio is Gaston, Husband is LeFou, and then we are the Bimbettes, and I love this costume!Another small set to fill my heart with joy haha. I realize (peek behind the curtain here, I'm writing these waaaaay in the future as I just get lazy) that most of the pics I take are of my Lego sets and not really anything else so it really looks like I don't do anything else but we know the isn't all I'm doing).
But this is fun, I love this set.
There might not be much going on in real life, but Lego never quits. This one took a bit of time, it was just a lot of small sets. I think I might put some minifigures that are Disney characters on here to make it a Fantasmic boat, I'm still thinking about that. But here it is, in all its glory.
Glad to get these small Lego sets, and then they don't take 100 years to complete. This one was so cute, I finished it so quickly.
And look how dang cute.
