Splash Pad Day

 Today I had to babysit the fellas whilst their mom had a bunch of appointments, so naturally I took them to the splash pad. Darth and Gecko were so hype for the water, but Epifanio didn't want any of that, he just wanted to sit down and have some snacks. Please enjoy him delicately eating a pop tart: 

He finally allowed himself to be placed gently in the water, but for the most part he just wanted to stay in the shade and eating some snacks. 

But we still had a fun day! 

Kitten!

 Today I went to my cousins house to chill out. We ate some lunch, watched some Supermarket Sweep, chatted, and most importantly, played with her new kitten, Rusty. I don't like cats. I don't know if I've said this before, but ugh, I hate cats. Kittnes, however, are a different story. They are tiny, they are cute, and I love them, so I played plenty with this tiny baby. 

He is so cute, listening to his meowing all day was just the best. 

Happy Pioneer Birthday!

Today is my SIL's 21st birthday, how exciting! And it's Pioneer Day, so that's ... fine also, this "holiday" doesn't really mean all that much to me. So today we did a celebration of both, and it was fun.

For her cake, I did Reese's PB Cup cupcakes, with small candles in each to spell out Happy Birthday. These cupcakes were so good, if I do say so myself!

Eagle Scout Ceremony

Tonight we went to an Eagle Scout ceremony, two of my former Webelos scouts earned their Eagle Scout tonight! Husband was given the mentor pin by one of them, what a great thing.

 After the ceremony, I had to take a pic with the two of them, look how giant they are!

I remember when these jokers were shorter than me! What a great thing. I was so happy to be a part of this night, after being their leader so so long ago.

Last Day of Vacay

Today was our last day of vacay, so of course, we are sad to go. We did a last walk this morning (the fellas and I have searched for rabbits every morning on a nearby golf course, so today we all just went together. My SIL snagged this pic of us all going.

I noticed that Husband and Gecko were dressed similarly, and I just had to snap a photo.

Then after our drive home (in which Husband got a speeding ticket, hahahaha), I saw our other nephew, and snapped him right up.

It was a great trip, but as always, I'm happy to be back in my own house!

Hiking for some Dino tracks

Today we did a hike, there's one in Washington that leads to some honest to goodness dinosaur tracks. Because Gecko is such a big Dino nerd, we thought this would be good for him. Turns out the hike was pretty meh. The tracks weren't even that visible, so the whole thing was sort of a bust. But we still had a good time.

Pool Time!

We are in St George for the weekend, celebrating Darth's birthday. We chose an AirBnb that came with a pool, which was the best decision ever. Today we had our first pool day and everyone had a dang great time. Here's a video of me demonstrating swimming with our Baby Shark boogie board, and then some videos of us throwing Darth in the water - by his request, and he hecking loved it. We also have a video of Epifanio getting thrown around - he loved it so much. 

Hard-Workin' Baby

My SIL and BIL have been staying with us for the past couple of weeks with their 2 year old boy. Today he wanted to wash some cars, so I let him.

Okay, technically I did crop it in a way that his mom is right by him and you can't tell here, but its funnier if he's by himself! He had such a great time.

A Comet!

Y'all, I don't know who knows this, but there is a comet visible in the sky right now! It's visible until the 22nd, so tonight, Husband and I drove up to the top of Squaw Peak to see if we could see it. We did! Of course, my phone wasn't good enough to get a pic of it, but what an excitement. I did get a pic of the valley from where we were, and it was so nice and peaceful up there. So exciting to have this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Cookie Appreciation Post

Turns out I forgot to put Cookie into her Independence Day outfit, so I put her into it today. She was mad, bit so darn cute.

Card time, card time

We have card swap in a week, so naturally I waited until today to make my cards! They ended up being pretty good, I think. Finally. 

Another Birthday

Today was my sister's birthday, and we spent the day celebrating. We went to a splash pad this morning and then had a picnic for lunch.

Epifanio hecking loved the honey mustard, he literally ate it for so long!

Then after a rousing tournament of Mario Party, we did food trucks for dinner, and small baby definitely was done for the day at this point.

 Then we returned to my house and then a requested coconut cream pie for dessert, made by yours truly.

And then Epifanio somehow scored himself a chair like a real human. 

We had a super fun day, and one more turn around the sun for my sis!

Happy Birthday Husband!

Today we celebrated Husband's birthday, and now we are the same age until 6 weeks from today, when I turn a year older, alas. This morning we changed the bandage on my sister in laws wounds from her bike accident, and YIKES.

We've had her here since the day of the accident, we've been doing all of her wound care and helping her since she's very much injured and unable to do a lot.

We had a rousing game (HIS CHOICE NOT MY CHOICE) of D&D, with lots of food and snacks and just fun times. Poor Epifanio fell off the stairs onto the cement, and tore up his tiny nose.

He at least was in better spirits as the night went on, poor tyke.

 I found this in my neighborhood this morning, someone on my street is such an amazing chalk artist, I love looking for the new art she's made.

This year, (because of Coronavirus, of course) the city did fireworks at the park near my house. We could set up so easily in my front yard and watch them all, it was so much fun!

Haircut for Epifanio

Y'all, Epifanio got his first haircut! I love it so much, he looks like a tiny man.

He's so happy with his post-haircut balloon and lollipop.

Tiny Funeral

Today we had a funeral for my nephew. My sister in law was 25 weeks along, and the baby had been diagnosed with spina bifida. They tried to do a surgery to fix that, but his small heart couldn't take it and he passed away. We had a small memorial service today, and it was just lovely. Here are some pics of it:

It helps to know this isn't the end, we will be reunited with him after this life. But today, we are grieving this tiny tyke and his short time on this earth.

Group Babysitting

Today I had a full house of fellas, all of varying ages. When they were dropped off, Epifanio was not into anything. Cried cried cried as soon as his mom left. The only time he stopped crying was when Husband wrapped him in this blanket in the backyard.

 Then we took everyone on a walk, it went pretty well.

Finally, Epifanio was happy enough to be alone and not have everyone around him. Of course, Darth had to crash the video, as he always does.

Bike Accident!

Today, Husband and I were shopping at Costco when I got a call from my sister in law. She said she had been in a bike accident and she was like, so I think I need a ride home, I'm a little scraped up. We left Costco right then and went to get her. We were def shocked when we got there and saw :

Yikes!! So we brought her home and cleaned out the wounds and took stock.

So we put Neosporin all over the place and got her wrapped in some gauze and sent her on her way. Hopefully she'll heal well and have no issues!
