Harry Potter Express Lego

Epifanio's favorite thing in the world is trains. And Lego. So when I got the Harry Potter Lego train set for Christmas, he was PUMPED. So since they were here this week, we put it together so he could play with it.

This thing was HUGE, I honestly had no concept. I made Epifanio lie down next to it, for scale.

Same size!

Hungarian Horntail Lego

Its possible that in my lapse of writing blogs (Y'all, I don't do much now that I live near zero family or friends) now the only things that I have to document are the Lego sets I build. Probably boring, but this is my blog and really, I don't care. Today I finished the Hungarian Horntail I got for my birthday...in August.

Majestic! It also flaps its wings, and I thought I had a video of it, but I don't, alas. But still, an amazing set.

Thestrals HP Lego

After the Disney castle Lego, I chose a very easy and small one for my next one, and this one delivered. It was so easy, I finished it in just a few minutes haha.

Lego Privet Drive

To keep the Harry Potter train going, here's the next project! This one was much smaller so it wasn't too hard to put together quickly. I love it so.

Sometimes I am just absolutely blown away by the level of details on these!

Virtual Race, the race of 2020

As everyone knows, there have been many cancellations of 2020. Graduations, birthdays, parties, everything. Along these lines are races. The excitement of summer, races. So I've done what any normal person would do. Sign up for virtual races where you get to run alone! So I signed up for a Harry Potter one, and then today, my medal arrived!

Ah, what a great day.

Universal, or more importantly, Harry Potter World

Guys, today we did Harry Potter World. I have been once before, but this time was more extensive and amazing. Naturally, today rained as well, and it was chilly. Still prefer it than the hot, of course. We got to Gringotts first off, and took in the magnificent dragon.

That was the Gringotts ride, which we did later and it was very nice. We drank Butterbeer, and took in the sights.
Y'all KNOW I got a wand, too. It is glorious and I am proud to own it and will use it when necessary.  Despite the rain, it was a great day. I rode an amazing roller coaster that was probably the greatest one I have ever been on, and it was amazing. I hope to go back to this park for longer - we only had the one day, and there was so much I wanted to do.

Harry Potter + Universal Fun

Yesterday, Husband and I started a vacation. We have finally gone on a vacay, which we haven’t done in a really long time. We opted to take a cruise, and it leaves Sunday, and gets back the following Sunday. We decided to come in yesterday, Friday, and spend today at Universal. It was awesome! We got to the park right when it opened, and immediately went to Harry Potter world.

I tried some Butter Beer

And it was crazy delicious. It tastes like dreams and magic. Then we went on a ride, and then made our way around the whole park. We went to Springfield, IL (Simpsons land)

Then just rode a whole bunch of roller coasters. I’ve never ridden that many roller coasters in my life in one day! And they were all amazing. We had to leave the park earlier than we wanted to, to take part in another adventure – to be talked about tomorrow!

Foto Friday…Harry Potter Friday…

HP1

All right, so this technically isn’t really a legit Friday entry, but I’m combing my life of tradition (Foto Friday!) with my love of Harry Potter. And thus it begins.

As expressed above, I love Harry Potter. I didn’t hop on the HP wagon until book 4. Before then, I’d heard of it, but was like, meh, I don’t need to read a book about children and magic. But then Little Sister had the first four, and told me to read them. I read them all within about a week, and loved them. Book 4 is still my favorite, of all of them, I could read that one over and over. But I still love them all.

I’ve been on a few different sides of being the HP fan. I’ve been the regular fan, reading all the books, getting them as soon as they come out (literally, at midnight, I’ve gotten them) and I’ve worked retail when they came out, and had to work the midnight shift to sell them to other fans, ones who had actually dressed up for the events. A lot of retail people hate to work these types of events, but I loved them. Being around the people who love the books enough to be there right as soon as they’re released – it’s a great feeling for everyone there.

So tonight I’m going to the last Harry Potter movie. I’ve seen every single one, opening night, and I am really looking forward to this. I finished the 7th book again this weekend, I re-saw the first Deathly Hallows movie last night, so I’m totally ready. I am excited to see this – to finish out this chapter of my life with a movie that will satisfy my Harry Potter cravings. Luckily, I own all of the books and movies, so if ever I need to visit Hogwarts again, I can do so.
