Home to the Fellas

 We came home today, and after like, 11 hours of flying, we were there! LAX was a nightmare to get out of afterwards, but we finally did. My brother in law and the fellas were at the house, taking care of Betty (sister was here doing it for the bulk of the week, but had to head home and the fellas stayed). We hung out for the afternoon, it was mostly me and Epifanio hanging out. Did I fall asleep? Naturally. 

But we had a lovely time until they were going to head home tomorrow!

End of Cruise/England

 Today, our cruise ended! We spent the day going around England. First, we stopped at Salisbury to see the Salisbury Cathedral. 

We did a guided tour of the inside. which was absolutely lovely. Next, we went to Stonehenge. I have been there a few times, but PJ and her brother had not, so of course we had to stop. 

Finally, we headed up to the Hampton Court Palace, where Henry the 8th lived! It was glorious, there was so much history! So much house! So much land!

After all of this amazingness, we headed to London. We dropped off our rental car, then headed to our hotel, stopping in the Paddington station. This station did not disappoint. 

So cute! This was such a great trip, despite freezing for so much of it! 

But Where Was Betty?

 I know what you were thinking. Whilst we were on vacation, where was Betty? Luckily, we found a boarding place that was a home, where a couple watches dogs at their own house. I thought this was the best option, since I was SO HESITANT about boarding her at all, because she has SEVERE separation anxiety and flips out often. But the best part is, they send you pictures of your dog while you're gone, so you can see how they're doing! I loved it. 

Look at this model! I was so glad to come back to her. 

Hawaii Day 2

 Today was an exploration day - we wanted to see a lot of the island, so we just piled into the car and drove around everywhere. We saw a lot of the island and went in a loop around the whole thing, it was nice. 

At one point we got to see the temple there, how nice! Of course, being a Sunday, there wasn't much we could do besides just walk around a little, but it was nice to see it. 

We then spent the rest of the day at the beach, where I - you guessed it - slept in the shade for most of the afternoon haha, I am an old lady at heart.

It was too short a trip, but I am so glad that we were able to go. 

Hawaii!

 Y'all, I have never been to Hawaii and this weekend we finally got a chance. We weren't able to go for the entirety of the trip we wanted, but we got to do the weekend and that's good enough. We traveled from Utah to Hawaii right after the graduation, and immediately got to the fun. Jokes, we were pretty jet-lagged, so we got to our hotel, had some food, walked around a bit and then went to bed. 

But! Saturday we woke up nice and early and headed to a beach. We were doing a memorial service for our dear friend, and we wanted to do it at one of his favorite places. It was lovely.

After the service, we just hung out at the beach for the day, enjoying the sun.

That evening, we did dinner on a boat (a catamaran, specifically) and it was the windiest evening ever and the boat must have been flying because we were all getting thrown down quite a bit. We got some pics on there, but to see us trying to take them was hysterical because we were just falling everywhere. 

It was a fun time and one that I was glad to have gone on!

After the boat ride, there was a Spam Jam (festival for Spam) near our hotel but turns out I was SO BURNT by the sun after the beach, I stayed behind and just fell asleep immediately haha, too much in one day for me. 

Rest of the Trip

 The rest of the week passed too quickly, and then they had to leave me. Here's my favorite pic of him from the week. I asked him if he was meditating and he said yes. But I would love to know if he even knows what that means haha. 

Vegas, Day 2

 Today, we just did a mishmash of things in Vegas, just a few ideas. First, we went to the Flamingo Wildlife Exhibit. It was pretty fun. Most of the stuff was shut down for Covid, but we still got to see the flamingos. 

Then we walked around a sugar store (HECK YES) and then went and rode the High Roller Ferris wheel. Did I snap any pics there? Oh of course not, I just enjoyed the view and everything haha.

It was really nice, just a slow ride around. Husband did get a pic at the top, so that was nice. 

We stopped at a patisserie in the Bellagio later to get some treats. They have chocolate fountains just all over the place, with some flowing chocolate (is it chocolate? Is it paint? I don't care)

It was a pretty good day. We had some news in the afternoon that wasn't great, but we'll talk about that later! 

Fast Cars

 All right all right, let's get this party started. Our major plan for the day was starting at 11:00, so we had some time to kill after we got up. It was already way warm, so we grabbed our suits and hit the pool. Epifanio had a great time, of course. 

It was VERY COLD in the water. I don't know if they have the water colder, because it gets so hot, but Darth couldn't even handle the water at all. After he jumped in, he came out and immediately got under his towel in the sun. Because Epifanio copies everything he does, of course he did too. 

Then, we hit the road. My gift to Husband was for him to drive some fast cars for the afternoon. He drove a Ford Shelby and a Ferrari. OOOOooooh. We snagged pics in front of the cars, of course. 

We all hung out in a waiting room type area and got to go outside and watch him when he drove. That was a lot of fun, too, surprisingly. 

Then he got to come hang with us between cars, and the fellas tried on his helmet. 

Then they let the fellas get into the cars, which was a thrill for them. 

It was so much fun! 

That night, we went to our first restaurant in a YEAR. Y'all, that was wild. I almost couldn't believe it. We chose a TGI Fridays (and by chose I mean, that was literally the only thing open after a few other places we had tried near us had been a bust, so really, we just ended up there). My sister ordered a cotton candy cosmopolitan, of course I wanted to try it.

It ... tasted like alcohol so it was gross haha. Husband ordered a donut cheeseburger which was actually insane. 

I tried that also and surprisingly, it works! 

We had such a fun day, and it was a hoot every minute. Glad to be taking this little vacay. 

Time for Vegas, Baby!

 Y'all, it is time! I bought Husband a gift for our 10 year anniversary two months ago, and today we finally left to do it! It's in Vegas, so the drive is a little long (haha) and we decided to make a weekend of it. Epifanio is turning 2 this weekend, so we made it a whole shindig. We packed up the car, and met with everyone to hit the road. Epifanio was excited. 

He just loves cars, he loves being in them, so it took a little to get him out of the car and into his car seat. 

We drove to Fillmore and then stopped for some lunch in a Subway. That goober, sitting at a different table, turned around to get our drinks. 

We made it safely to Vegas, and after getting into our rented condo for the weekend, we grabbed some dinner. We had wanted to hit up the pool in our complex, but then the owner didn't leave us the key fob for it. After some communication, they finally brought it over, just in time for it to be bedtime for the kiddos. At least we got it! And now we're ready to party. 

Vernal, Day 2

 Today was a new day in Vernal! After working out and whilst having a stretch, I was joined by Epifanio for the occasion. 

We went to a dinosaur museum today, and Gecko had the time of his life. 

After we wandered there for a while, we found the Vernal temple! I was hype of course and had to stop at take some pics. 

Lovely! Then we spent the afternoon watching a new movie on Netflix (Yes Day, totally recommend). It was such a fun day, and such a fun trip! It's the perfect amount of time, long enough to get away but not so long that you hate everyone by the end. :D
