All right, I did two Spring sets - a fabulous spring wreath and then new sunflowers dropped.
So dang cute! Definitely gonna have this up for a while.
And of course I added the sunflowers to my shelves.

Sometimes, you just gotta take a day off and live your best life. We headed over to Downtown Disney to have a nice morning. We went to a new place (We're trying to hit every food place downtown) and had brunch. I got a French toast and it was EXTRA in the best way possible.
It was absolutely so deliciousThen, after hanging out there for a bit, we headed home for some chilling. I finished up my Lego set that I had been working on recently, this Mario piece. I love it haha. His head attaching to his body was by far the hardest part, it just would not attach! So he's a bit wonky but honestly, I did my best there.
I never have stories about the fellas anymore obviously not living near them but every time I get pics, it makes me so happy.
The way he just folds into himself to watch stuff just makes me giggle its so cute.
At Disneyland, near the Incredicoaster, there is a little booth that sells the most delicious cookies, the Jack-Jack Num-Nums. I love them.
A few years ago, I got a copy of the Disneyland parks cookbook and it has a recipe in here for these cookies.
I had a craving tonight and instead of heading over and getting one, I decided to do a batch of my own.
I got them made and put into my specially bought containers:
Recently, a Facebook post was brought to my attention about my mom and I love it so much, I want to put it here to have it forever.
Eh I'll just throw into here a bunch of random Lego sets I've done lately.
This month, for book club dessert club, we chose Water Pie. Making desserts we have never heard of is a real fun time haha. This is apparently a Depression-era pie that people used with nearly no ingredients.
Here is the recipe, in case anyone else wants it:
So here's the pie, before baking, but after putting the ingredients in the shell
And then, once it was baked, it actually looked pretty good! And... its delicious! It doesn't really have a flavor, per se, but its just a sweet pie. I would totally recommend this.
Okay it does seem like all I do on here is Lego lately but its really because I don't really leave my house that often lol. Work is just from my own house, I don't really know anyone here (yes after all these years) so I don't really have any outdoor adventures. Lego is always a good time.
I'm just gonna do a blitz of all of the sets I've done in the last few days - I have been trying to get through all of my small sets that I put off.
It's Betty's third birthday today!
By all logic, this means she's finally a 21 year old young lady (1 human years = 7 dog years, so 21)
She of course had to celebrate.
Apparently, a thing that happens in elementary schools now is kids celebrate the 100th day of school by dressing as 100 year old people, and the fellas did this today.
Ugh these freaking cuties, I love this.
I thought I would keep the reorganization of the house still going this weekend, I get such a great high from all of the organizing.
I recently bought some more shelves for my bookshelves, because there is so much lost space on the tiny Lego sets, they don't even fill the height of the shelf at all. And I've got a whole bookcase of books that are short and could use more shelves.
Added in 3 new shelves to this top case.Okay I have finished the set that I waited all morning for on New Years Day. And its beautiful of course.
And it does something fabulous:
I absolutely love this.
All right, I don't remember if I've talked of this before (too lazy to go back and check) but along with my monthly book club, I have started a dessert club, so each month we will be making a new dessert. This month is the Ultimate Chocolate Mud Cake.
The recipe I used is:
https://www.askchefdennis.com/chocolate-mud-cake/
And here is my cake:
lol so what happened with this, is that my shelves were too close to each other, so it rose up above the shelf above it.
It was a delicious cake, and very good ganache. Unfortunately for all of us, its an ultimate dark chocolate cake, so it was BITTER as heck. If I made this in the future, I think I would make a milk chocolate ganache to offset the dark of the cake. It was good just very bitter haha.
I had some time today, and decided to rearrange the house. I moved our kitchen table from its location between the kitchen and front room and moved it to the area next to the kitchen. I put a small couch where the table was, and honestly I was pleased with the results.
It looks so different, but I'm sure once I'm used to it, it'll feel totally normal.
Once I got the table in here, I did move some things around the kitchen, and needed a new area for things that were in a bookshelf I got rid of to make room for the couch.
Absolutely love it.
Apparently this time of year I'm just finishing Lego sets.
I finished the Snow White one today, how lovely.
Y'all, we have made it to a new year! Holy cow! 2025 went by so fast, I can't believe it. Here's to a new year.
Firstly, of course I had to go to the Lego store for the new releases, there were so many good ones today.
Husband and Betty were partying toooo hard and crashed out mid-day.
