Sleepover Time

Husband is out of town this week, so we decided to have a sleepover in his absence. I think the fellas are still a little nervous to be sleeping away from home, so when we usually have a sleepover, they sleep on the couch. Then, they usually come into my room several times a night, asking if it's morning. SHEESH. So after the last time, they said that they wanted to try having a sleepover but sleeping in my bed with me. Oof, this definitely made me nervous, but I was willing to give it a try. So they came over after work, and we started our night of fun. We had burgers, s'more pies, and watched great movies. Then we finally went to bed. We all fit, snug as a bug.

Sadly, directly after this picture, Epifanio started to have some struggles, and just wanted mommy to pick him up. After like, 15 minutes of listening to "mommy get me" we decided that would be the best idea. So off he went, and the three of us had a sleepover. Despite Darth snuggling up to men every chance he got, it actually went pretty well! Nobody woke up several times during the night, nobody was awake at 6:00 (the usual occurrence) and they all stayed in bed until like, 8:30! Glorious! We did it!

First Time for Everything

Well, we expanded our fellas sleepover club. I've had the two older boys sleep over a couple of times. It's gotten better each time. Tonight, I was asked to watch Epifanio in a sleepover situation also. As we all know, that joker is 2 years old, nearly 3, in a couple of months. So going into this sleepover, I was nervous. Would he sleep? Would we get to sleep? Oof. So, last night, things went well. When the parents initially left, Epifanio lost his dang mind. He screamed, cried, etc., for a good 20 minutes. Finally he calmed down, and we fed him. Then we watched Encanto (fav movie of the moment) and had some ice cream. He finally started to wind down, and then fell asleep near 9:00.

He woke up at around 12:30. I tried to get him back to sleep, but as soon as I would try and leave him he would wake up. Blergh. So I ended up just taking him into my bed, which is how he sleeps, in my sister's bed, but man, I was hoping to avoid. He fell back asleep, and we had a sleepless night as that little jerk mostly spent the night kicking me in his sleep.

Then, at around 2:30, Darth came in to ask if it would be morning soon. This is something he's done every time he sleeps over. I don't know if he's anxious that morning will never come, but on the plus side, he only did it once tonight, as opposed to the multiple times he's done it on previous sleepovers. Now, the next day, I absolutely feel like a walking zombie and need some sleep, but that was a fun time. Glad it actually went pretty well!

A Success!

Y'all, the sleepover was a success! Darth came in at around 3:00 AM and said that he was kind of scared, and wanted to know if I could come sleep out there. I said sure, grabbed my pillow, and headed out. I couldn't sleep that great out there (I wasn't in the best position, usually the couch is so lovely) so it was a rough couple of hours until I just got up. Then we did some grocery shopping, and they tried on some hats that they loved.

These guys are such cuties, and I'm glad our sleepover was a success! Now we'll have to have another and see if everyone can sleep through the night.

Our First Sleepover!

Yesterday, Darth said that he wanted to have a sleepover. I didn't think he was serious, but then today, he and Gecko showed up ready to have a good time. I was also in charge of taking them school shopping, which went pretty well, I think. After having pizza and watching a movie, pulling each other down the stairs, (kids are weird)

swimming, and taking a walk, we were ready to wind down. We got into our PJs (and our new sweatshirts that we just got while we were shopping - we got them bigger sizes so they could grow into them by the time it's cold)

and then we got into our bed (they didn't want to sleep on the bed in our guest room, they said that was too far and too scary to be alone, so they slept on the couch)

They were ready for be! Hopefully it goes well.

Sleepover

Last night, because of new baby being born, I had the fellas over at my house all day and night, so it was first sleepover! Did it go well? No. No it sure didn't. But we did our best, and we got as much sleep as could be expected under the circumstances of them being scared to sleep in a place without their parents. I did get a super cute picture right as they fell asleep.
Then I brought everyone in to see their new baby brother, but they were a little more interested in playing in a closet, kids have no sense of what's happening haha.

But they had a great time while there.
